At Walmart, we make sure that customers enjoy a consistent online buying experience by reviewing all Marketplace listings twice a year. We will remove a listing from Walmart Marketplace if we find one that is not functioning up to par. To find out more about this policy, continue reading.
What is the Policy?
Depending on the nature and seasonality of each category, items must be listed and transactable for a set period of time in order to avoid being labelled as underperforming. Slow-moving objects and strategic items or groups are examples of exceptions. Other under-performance indicators consist of, but are not restricted to: • No sales of the item within the same variant groups throughout the predetermined timeframe; • No sales of the item during the predetermined duration.
Despite conducting semi-annual catalogue checks, Walmart has the authority to remove any item from publication at any time. Your item won’t be relisted until the listing has seen a significant improvement if it was unpublished as a result of underperformance.
**NOTE: Walmart retains the right to permanently remove an item from our catalogue if it is removed more than once.

Q: My item has been removed due to under-performance. What should I do?
A: After you’ve reviewed your listing and made improvements, create a case for Seller Support.
Q: How can I view my items that have been removed for under-performance?
A: Navigate to the Items dashboard within Seller Center. Select Filters, then Status Change Reason. Choose Manually Unpublished and Apply to view your items that have been unpublished by Walmart. You can also download your Item Report to find the Status Change Reason column. All items that have been removed due to under-performance will have “Under-performing” listed in the explanatory text.
Q: My items are seasonal; will they be removed during the off-season?
A: Items are regularly evaluated to avoid the necessity of factoring in seasonality.
