Overview
If you’re using the Self-Serve Search Engine Marketing (SEM) programme offered by Walmart Marketplace, you must be aware of and abide by all applicable regulations, rules, and guidelines for any advertising placements. Account suspension or termination from the Marketplace programme may occur for noncompliance. To find out more about the policy you have to follow, continue reading.
*NOTE: Without giving prior warning, Walmart has the right to modify these policies at any moment.
What is the Policy?
You consent to abide by the Marketplace Prohibited Product Policy and Walmart’s Retailer Policies by taking part in the SEM programme. In addition, you have to follow the rules of data use and privacy, which cover things like targeting, using third-party tags, gathering personal data, and more.
Google handles retail advertisements under its own set of rules. Google has the right to block your advertisement if it doesn’t follow its ad regulations. A repeated infraction of Google’s regulations may lead to a ban from Google advertising. These policies incorporate Google’s ad policies by reference. To ensure that Google does not prohibit your advertisement, be careful to review all of the company’s policies.
It is definitely forbidden by Walmart to deploy invalid traffic (IVT). Walmart will examine your involvement in fraudulent IVT before allowing you to participate in the SEM programme. They will also conduct IVT investigations on a regular basis while you are in the programme. We might take further action against your account if Walmart determines that you are a source of IVT.
**NOTE: Bots and other non-human sources frequently produce invalid traffic to a webpage, inflating ad analytics.
